Neon…maybe one last time this year

I’m thinking I’ll get one more wear out of these jeans this summer. I wore this to Saturday brunch with some great ladies. Sharon from The Tiny Heart invited a few NJ bloggers to her old stopping grounds in NYC for brunch. She’s as sweet in person as she is on her blog, I’m so glad we finally got to meet in person. Cat and I also had the pleasure to meet two other great bloggers, the lovely Tara and Kym. We chatted about everything from our blogs, beer and our neighborhoods! Our brunch lasted over 3 hours, a great indicator of a great time! Thank you Sharon for setting this up. I would have loved to share pictures of our brunch, but as I snapped a few outfits shots before heading out the door, I dropped my camera and it broke! I’m hoping I can get it fixed tomorrow because this is the LAST outfit shot I have.

I admit, I’m obsessed with neon!

Guilty! Yes, I’m totally obsessed with Neon. It all started with a DIY project I did a few months back, neon cap toe shoes. Then little by little I started adding more and more neon. As you all know, I LOVE yellow. So it was only a matter of time that I would fall in love with neon yellow. And neon pink, need I say more?

I wore this outfit to a Cinco de Mayo party…yeah, nothing Mexican about it, but I had just received these shoes in the mail and I just HAD to wear them. I knew I had to keep the rest of my outfit low key in order for these puppies to shine!

Trend of the Month – Neon

I’m so excited to participate in Marion’s first Trend of the Month Challenge! This month’s challenge is Neon…yay! Since I work in a corporate envronment but still want to wear the latest trends, I always try to figure out a way to wear them to the office and still remain professional. Some trends never make it, such as cutouts, colored denim or sheer, however I think I can pull neon off. As I mentioned in Monday’s post, I worked on these shoes over the weekend (I forgot I had a bit of Martha Stewart in me) Since they are already pretty loud, I decided to pair them with a black dress to tone the look down. I would probably skip the necklace during the day, but add it later on for after work cocktails.
