Funny story about these shoes.  I bought them from Piperlime MONTHS ago.  Actually, I had meant to return them but they sat in a FedEx box in the trunk of my car for a long time.  Once I finally realized that the return period was waaaay over, I took them out of the box.  Thank God I decided I liked them again so here they are.  They’re perfect any time I have to go to the city for work.  I’m not usually a flats girl (hence the return debacle), but these are kind of fancy.  Well, fancy enough to be work appropriate.

It’s been so cold and gloomy around here, that as soon as the sun came out and it got a little warm I reached for all my brights.  I’m not really sure if these two pieces go together (the skirt is lavender and the top is lime green), but I just had to put something bright on, so here it is.  Does it match?

I realize that C&B is a blog focused on wear-to-work attire, however we do spend some time out of the office too I wore this to a friend’s 40th birthday party last week.  I was actually going to return this skirt, but when I paired it with this top, I felt like I had a new dress!!! I hope I don’t jinx us but it looks like we’re finally out of tights weather.  Yay to bare legs!

I have to admit that I haven’t worn this lovely cardigan as much as would have liked since I got it last year during the Webster @ Target event.  But doing some spring cleaning this weekend, I rediscovered it and decided to put it to good use.  I love this color combination — it’s just so springy!

Hello Spring!….that’s the way I was greeted this morning by a co-worker.  It’s 70 and sunny here in NYC and I’m ecstatic!  I love nothing more than to wear bright colors in the spring and summer.  On a side note, how cute are my sunnies.  They are SUPER old Gucci sunnies.  I found them as I was doing a little spring cleaning.  I figured since they are circa 2001, they can be considered vintage, no?

As much as I love staying on trend, I just can’t wear black and white without a little color.  I may have overdone it a little since one of the guys in my office said…”looks like you have little highlighters for feet”!  Did I overdo it?  Would you wear these to the office?

There is nothing to spice up an otherwise plain outfit like a statement necklace.  I love the fit of these pants and the fit of this sweater but it just wasn’t pulled together until I added this black and white necklace I got over the weekend in the city.

The weather is crazy.  Last week we were in the 30s and today is 81 degrees.  Seems like there will be no Spring again this year.  I’m not complaining though, because I’ve been waiting for this type of day for a LONG time.  To commemorate the gorgeous weather, I wore this coral ensemble — coral skirt with cream lace overlay and a coral polka dot top.

Yippee, Spring is finally here!  Last week I got rid of all my winter coats (I kept a couple, just in case), and brought out all my brights including this jacket that I got at the end of the season.  Spoiler alert, you will see it a lot!
