Crushing on Vince Camuto

It’s my birthday today!  Happy birthday to me!

Every year, my birthday means two things.  One, I’m getting older (although I’m starting to lose track of how much older.  Up until my husband reminded me yesterday, I thought I was turning 33 when actually, I’m turning 32.) Two, FALL IS COMING!  This year, more than most, I’m anticipating fall more than anything.  I hate to complain but the weather in the northeast this summer has been too hot and humid for my liking.  But with my birthday having rolled around I know that boots and scarves and layers are on their way back and I’m super excited.

Well, this is where Vince Camuto comes in.  Last fall I picked up the Vince Camuto Braden boots in black leather and taupe suede and wore them all season.

And I’ve spent this spring and summer in my Heath pumps.  Which I also have in black.

Honestly, I just love the simplicity of his designs and the great quality of his shoes.  So, when I discovered the Vince Camuto OUTLET STORE in Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth, NJ my heart skipped a beat. I saw a few items I liked but didn’t pick up because I thought I might be able to find them online for a better price. I was wrong. Not only were the prices better at the store (with a 20% off the entire store sale going on), but most of the styles that I loved were SOLD OUT all over the interwebs.  Like the Alexia booties:

and the Acara booties:

The other awesome thing about the VC outlet store is that they carry brands besides VC.  I don’t know what the relationship is but they carry Jessica Simpson and Arturo Chiang too.  And once I laid my eyes on these Arturo Chiang Everly Boots (and calculated the final price at $135) I couldn’t leave the store without them.

So, if you’re lucky enough to have a Vince Camuto Outlet store near you (locations below) I encourage you to visit.  The selection is great and the prices are right. Have you added VC shoes to your wardrobe?

Color Trend: Neon – Colorphobe style

I have to admit that when I saw that neon was going to be a big trend this spring, I cringed.  My mind immediately went through a montage of blinding 80s fashion.  And while some may adopt this trend in that very way, I’ve decided that I’m just going to dip my toe into the neon pool.  I’ll probably pair these with some neutrals, whites, and navy blues.  Here are the neon pieces I’m craving for this spring (and probably even before then!): Spring 2012 Neonsource | source | source

So, how do you feel about neon this spring?  Are you going to go head-to-toe highlighter blue? Or will you be dipping your toe like me?
