Sorry for the lack of posts this week folks! We’re hard at work before heading off to Fire Island for Labor Day Weekend. We hope you have a fabulous holiday and we’ll see you back here on Tuesday!
This time of year at our company is quite fun. We recognize high achievers for the previous fiscal year and engage in fun off-site events to get the teams pumped for the new year. A few weeks ago, when I got the invite for this year’s off-site, I was faced with a wardrobe dilemma. We’re headed to a country club and the attire is “country club casual.” As I am not a member of a country club, I had to do a little research to figure out what that means. As I understand it, it basically means no jeans, no short shorts, and mandatory sleeves and a collar. So, with those as my guidelines, I set about creating this ‘Country Club Casual’ look. Perfect way to say goodbye to summer

I’m thinking I’ll get one more wear out of these jeans this summer. I wore this to Saturday brunch with some great ladies. Sharon from The Tiny Heart invited a few NJ bloggers to her old stopping grounds in NYC for brunch. She’s as sweet in person as she is on her blog, I’m so glad we finally got to meet in person. Cat and I also had the pleasure to meet two other great bloggers, the lovely Tara and Kym. We chatted about everything from our blogs, beer and our neighborhoods! Our brunch lasted over 3 hours, a great indicator of a great time! Thank you Sharon for setting this up. I would have loved to share pictures of our brunch, but as I snapped a few outfits shots before heading out the door, I dropped my camera and it broke! I’m hoping I can get it fixed tomorrow because this is the LAST outfit shot I have.
